Cleansing and oil cleansing, in particular, is an essential step in any skincare routine. The first step to beautiful skin so many skip. Especially at night when we’re too tired and just want to get to bed 💤
But cleansing doesn’t have to be a time-consuming chore. In fact, it only takes a minute or two when using an oil cleanser (less time than it takes to brush your teeth).
There really is no excuse to skip this crucial step in your routine. In fact, we consider cleansing essential and whenever we get asked what product to start with when a customer has never used our range before. The answer is always: The Cleanser.

WHY…
Because at night when your skin regenerates and you don’t want to leave dirt and grime from the day to disrupt this process.
Not regularly cleansing correctly also prevents the skins dead cell removal and this leads to a dull skin appearance as well as congestion.
No matter what fabulous cream or serum you slap on!
HERE’S SOMETHING ELSE TO CONSIDER…
The rate your skincare moisturiser / serum etc absorbs, largely depends on the state of the epidermis (outer layer of skin).
This is why it’s important not to use a cleanser that contains alcohol or other acidifying ingredients. Your normal skin pH is 4-5 and this is why committing to a thorough cleansing routine and products that are pH 4-5 is essential if you want to get the most out of your serums and creams.
NO EXCUSES
If you are too tired and can’t be asked spending just a minute or two to cleanse at night. You are doing yourself a disfavour. Applying your night treatment over an unclean skin truly is a waste of product and $$.
We recommend using a well formulated oil cleanser such as Beachouse Organics Cleanser. As this oil cleanser ticks all the boxes of what you are looking for in a cleanser.
It will remove all dirt, grime and impurities without stripping your skin of its natural oils. This is so, so important if you want a long-term positive effect on your skin. The problem with using a harsh cleanser or soap (especially if your acne-prone) is that as you scrub off these natural oils and now your skin tries to compensate for this by increasing its oil production.
OIL CLEANSING + OILY SKIN… REALLY???
This is a very common misconception, that you should not use an oil cleanser on already oily skin. And we get it, it doesn’t sound like the best of ideas but here’s the thing.
If you have oily skin, Oil Cleansing is actually the best solution for you. Because “like defeats like” and a well-balanced oil cleanser will remove bad excess oil as the oil in the cleanser has similar chemical properties as skin oil and this allows them to “interact” as supposed to washing with water, which most of us know separates from oil.

THE BENEFITS OF OIL CLEANSING
Make up remover
A quality oil cleanser will effectively remove all makeup including eye makeup. Beachouse Organics cleanser incorporates luscious plant oils that instantly emulsify and dissolve makeup, leaving your skin soft and thoroughly clean. Additionally, it nourishes your brows and eyelashes at the same time.
Anti-aging properties
Using organic plant-based oils such as argan oil and hemp oil will slow the effects of ageing. Heals and reduces inflammation. Free radicals are one of the main causes of premature ageing and ageing. Antioxidants neutralize the damage caused by free radicals, leaving your skin healthy and glowing.
Deep cleansing – remove impurities
Oil cleansing is a great way to remove impurities in the skin and anyone with pores that are easily clogged can benefit from the use of an oil cleanser. The oil lifts the dirt on your skin away, as well as dead skin cells and bacteria that normally builds up in the pores.
Natural and non-toxic
Make sure that when you choose your oil cleanser it is one that is 100% natural with no chemicals or fillers. Plant-based oil cleansers such as Beachouse Organics Cleanser is just that. 100% natural with no nasties or chemical preservatives. Beachouse uses the highest quality oils, certified organics wherever possible.
Moisturize dry skin
Cleansing oils contain ingredients that are more hydrating and less irritating than traditional face washers. Detergents and foaming agents contain surfactants that can be harsh on the skin. Our Beachouse Organics cleanser doesn’t contain any surfactants and is rich in plant oils such as meadowfoam that locks in moisture, leaving your skin soft and smooth.
Balance oily skin
A soap-free non-comedogenic oil cleanser suits all skin types, especially oily congested skin. Cleansing with oils helps control oil production and balance your skin without clogging the pores and causing a breakout. Plant oils bind to the bad oils and impurities on your skin and gently lift them away.
Reduce inflammation
Plant oils have been used for centuries for their medicinal properties. Cleansing with natural plant-based oils can help calm inflammation and irritation on the skin such as rosacea, acne, and psoriasis. Our Beachouse Organics cleanser contains hemp oil which contains gamma-linoleic acid. This benefic acid acts as an anti-inflammatory while simultaneously encouraging cell regeneration.

HOW TO USE AN OIL CLEANSER
Use morning and evening. Apply a small amount and gently massage all over face, neck and eyes. Make sure not to rub your skin too vigorously to prevent irritation.
Next press with a soft, warm and damp face-cloth. Remove all makeup thoroughly (including eye makeup) then rinse with cool water. Gently pat skin dry.
Beahcouse Organics Cleanser turns oil to water and melts off your skin due to the meadowfoam in its formulation. Meadowfoam locks in moisture and resembles the skins own moisturiser (Sebum).
After cleansing your skin is ready to absorb your favourite serum or cream.
We recommend Day Face Drink after your morning cleanse and Ageless Pure Gold Serum for night time rejuvenation.
